UTAH REAL ESTATE
Real Estate as Diverse as the Geography
With a state as diverse as Utah, the real estate choices remain abundant. From settling down and raising a family, to enjoying the rich urban culture with downtown living, to vacation getaways in the beautiful mountain valleys—there's something for everyone! Utah offers an abundant choice of housing options and price ranges, with still some of the best real estate values anywhere. Choose from the following regions:
PARK CITY
With nearly three times as many second homes as compared to primary homes, Park City attracts the second home buyer looking for the perfect winter/summer getaway. But, with such a high vacancy rate, it is more attractive for those who want to use their vacation home more consistently rather than for the investor who wants to generate only rental income. Many vacation home owners benefit from having access to the resorts while spending far less money on housing costs.
While at the same time, a percentage of the population commutes to Salt Lake City. They, like the others, are drawn to the natural living and a better quality of life. Park City residents are proud of their natural environment, and have become great hospitality hosts culminating in hosting thousands of international visitors to the Winter Olympics in addition to the yearly Sundance Film Festival.
SALT LAKE CITY
Salt Lake City is currently experiencing a renaissance in its real estate market. While many other cities have had a downturn in the market over the last year or two, Salt Lake City continues with a high market demand, with many neighborhoods experiencing double-digit annual value growth.
The reasons for this are several. With a continuing expansion of the Utah economy, including strong job demand in several sectors and very low unemployment, more and more Utahns are buying homes. In addition, Salt Lake City is attracting families from all over the west and throughout the country who are drawn to its diverse culture and resources, clean, small town values and attractive real estate values. Investors are also drawn to Salt Lake City's booming economy and relatively inexpensive property and see tremendous opportunities for profit.
OREM-PROVO
Located in the heart of Utah Valley between the eastern shore of Utah Lake and the towering Wasatch Mountains stand Orem-Provo. Mount Timpanogos (elevation 11,957 feet) dominates the northern view and as part of the east Wasatch range, provides a gorgeous backdrop to the city.
Life in Orem-Provo is good. According to CNNMoney.com Orem-Provo was a contender for one of the best places to live in 2005. There are many things that set it apart from other cities and towns. It offers its residents great schools, a thriving environment for businesses of all sizes, and a family friendly atmosphere. Other awards include INC Magazine's #1 City for new businesses, Farmers Insurance's ranking as the Top Most Secure US places to live and Self Magazine's ranking of Provo as the 2nd healthiest cities for women.
Residents enjoy thriving outdoor recreation including local ski resorts, mountain biking, rock climbing, golf, and plenty of parks and open spaces to enjoy. In addition, residents can draw from rich cultural resources including Brigham Young University's art museum, one of eight, which has hosted such world-renowned exhibits as the Etruscan Exhibit from the Vatican, the Masada and Dead Sea Scrolls. Festivals and other community events abound, including America's Freedom Festival, which is one of the biggest Independence celebrations in the country.
DAVIS AND WEBER COUNTIES
The sister communities of Davis and Weber counties boast high quality country living with total access to urban amenities and unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities. Framed between the beautiful mountains to the east and the Great Salt Lake to the west, Davis and Weber counties offer residents the perfect place to raise a family or settle down for a quiet retirement.
Quiet doesn't mean dull, as opportunities for outdoor recreation abound from enjoying world class skiing in the winter to beautiful mountain lakes in the summer. Each of the local communities offer unique opportunities for participation throughout the year, from local music festivals to community fairs and farmer's markets.
